It aims at providing healthcare professionals, both experienced or in the training stage, with the core skills, competencies, and resources required to achieve organ recovery with optimal efficiency.

Objectives
- Comprehend the most effective methods to detect potential donors and improve donor referrals
- Understand the brain death concepts and the requirements for clinical determination and confirmatory tests of brain death
- Learn how to efficiently manage the brain-dead donor in accordance with the pathophysiological changes that may frequently occur in brain death, and which have a direct impact on graft survival and transplantation outcomes
- Acquire the communication skills required to break bad news and approach the family to seek consent for organ donation
- Identify the organ recovery procedures and preservation techniques
- Understand the various criteria and systems used for equitable and efficient organ allocation
- Get knowledge about uncontrolled and controlled DCD procedures

Academic Qualification
A DTI diploma that can be validated within the International Master in Donation and Transplantation of Organs, Tissues, and Cells by the Universitat de Barcelona, equivalent to 15 ECTS.
